I'm Rachel Wada, a freelance illustrator based in Vancouver, BC. With a background rooted in both Japanese and Chinese cultures, my artistic style is a fusion of diverse influences and techniques. I graduated with a BFA in Illustration at Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 2016. Since then, my goal has been to forge a personal connection and strike a chord with a broader audience, including you!
Whether it's picture books, editorial and commercial to murals, my illustrations find their place in a variety of mediums. Crafting a portfolio that authentically mirrors my identity and heritage has been an exciting and fulfilling journey. In my spare time, I can either be found in the kitchen trying out different recipes or travelling!
